If you see timeouts or you see nothing, this means that you have some network issues which do not allow your desktop to “see” your iPhone, our application won’t work in this case, please fix your network issues. Please specify the following information:

1) what OS do you use?
2) do you have firewall installed and activated?
3) do you use proxy server?
4) are you able to access Quickoffice files via Wi-Fi connect?

1. Make sure you have turned on Wi-Fi on your iPhone and your iPhone and PC/Mac are on the same Wi-Fi network.

2. On your iPhone, start Quickoffice. You will see an http URL on your iPhone in the lower part of the screen.

3. On your PC/Mac, start your favorite Internet Browser and enter the address from Step 2.

(Продолжить)4. Your PC/Mac is now connected to your iPhone. Now using the browser, you can upload files to your iPhone or download files from your iPhone.

Note: iWork files cannot be transferred using Wi-Fi Connect.

Are you able to transfer files via your PC Browser?
I mean did you try to type in your IPhone IP address in your Browser (f.ex. 10.110.4.114:4242)?

If this way of transferring files doesn't work either, please perform the following steps.
First of all we should determine whether your Desktop computer can connect to your iPhone, that there is no network related issues. In order to do this please try to do the following:

1. Open command prompt (for Windows) or terminal (for Mac)
2. Type and launch the following command
“Ping IP_ADDRESSOF_YOUR_IPHONE”>, where IP_ADDRESS_OF_YOUR_IPHONE is an address that you see in the WiFi Desktop connection screen in our application and in the settings of your WiFi network.
3. If you see replies from your iPhone, this means that you should not have network issues.
If you see timeouts or you see nothing, this means that you have some network issues which do not allow your desktop to “see” your iPhone, our application won’t work in this case, please fix your network issues.

Please let us know your results if you still experience issues with our WiFi desktop connect feature.

I have requested a refund for your purchase of Quickoffice 6 (order number 904991547L1235034).

Please let us know if you need additional assistance.

Could you try to install application right from your iPhone?
Downloading applications to iPhone is easy. Just tap the App Store icon, browse whatever categories you’re interested in, then download your purchases wirelessly. Once you own an application, the App Store automatically notifies you when there’s an update.

You can download application via iTunes, then sync them to your iPhone.

Once you've purchased it - you can redownload it again for free. You just need to login with the same account information that you used at the time of purchase. And you won't get charged twice. Little pop up box comes up telling you that you've already purchased it.

I recommend you to reinstall Quickoffice. Please do the following:
1. On the springboard, find the app you want to delete.
2. Tap and hold down the icon of the application you want to delete. After a few seconds your screen will start to “wiggle” and an X will appear next to each of the apps you’ve installed via the App Store.
3. Tap the X next to the icon of the app you want to remove. When prompted, select Delete.

After that connect your device to PC via USB -> run iTunes -> sync applcations.

Try removing and re-installing the application on your iPhone through iTunes. Let us know any results.

Please let us know what version of Quickoffice is currently installed on your device (open Quickoffice -> tap on settings -> find Quickoffice version in the lower part of the screen).

You can find under the Internet address of your mobile device under Quickoffice > at the bottom of the screen.

The easiest way to transfer a files to your iPhone/iPod from your computer and vice versa:

1. Open Quickoffice on your device.
2. On the main screen of Quickoffice, you will see an IP address at the bottom of the screen.
3. Open an Internet browser on your computer and enter the IP address from Quickoffice.
4. In your browser, click Upload Files.
5. Click on Add File.
6. Browse to the file you want to upload and choose Open.
7. Click on Upload.

The file will transfer to your device and you should see it listed in the folders under "On iPod" in Quickoffice.

You can also receive files as attachments, that were sent through Quickoffice applications from other devices.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I connected to the device via Wi-Fi connect (I didn't mount the device as a network drive). Please try to assess your iPhone via your favorite browser:

4. Your PC/Mac is now connected to your iPhone. Now using the browser, you can upload files to your iPhone or download files from your iPhone.

Let me know any results.

If someone else that has Quickoffice emails you a file, then you will be able to open it on your iPhone and save it to Quickoffice to edit. Otherwise, you will need to save a file to Quickoffice from your iDisk or from your computer using Wi-Fi Connect. Once the file is saved to your iPhone, you can edit it using Quickoffice

At this time, Quickoffice does not have access to email attachments that are not sent using Quickoffice products.

You can email files from within Quickoffice to anyone.

The iPhone software platform does not support sharing memory between different applications, so you will only be able to view your files with Quickoffice by uploading them into the Quickoffice memory using Wi-Fi Transfer utility, or using an iDisk account.

Thank you for choosing Quickoffice and have a great day,

So, what happens when you try to mount your iphone as a network place or drive? Could you describe how you do this? You can also transfer files via browser by navigation to Quickoffice URL that you see in the bottom of the screen on your iPhone.

Quickoffice does not work properly with OS 3.0.Our application was successfully tested on the latest beta prior to release, but on the released version of 3.0 platform we saw some type of issues.

We are working to deliver an updated version ASAP, however I think it will be more than a week - we need to make sure all 3.0 issues are fixed. It is very complicated to make our new release in time and to fix all 3.0 issues that we just recently discovered.

We are working to deliver an updated version which will fix many OS 3.0 issues and also it will include feature that will let you access attachments. Hopefully this version will be available very soon.

Quickoffice does not work properly with OS 3.0. We are working to fix this ASAP.
Unfortunately we don't know the exact date of the new release. Please watch for the future updates on [http://vkontakte.ru/away.>php?to=http://www.quickoffice.co>m|www.quickoffice.com]

Our application uses native iPhone networking capabilities, so if you can't access your iPhone via network our application won't work too as well as any other application like docs to go, for instance. The network issue you encountered wasn't caused by incorrect Quickoffice functionality, that's why we suggested that it'd be better to consult with an IT specialist for resolving the problem. You may want to contact with the Apple support, as they could assist you with setting your network up.

Best regards,

let's try to check whether the 4242 port is blocked by your firewall:

On your desktop run CMD once again and type the following (Quickoffice should be running on your device):
_________________________>______________
telnet IP_ADDRESS_OF_YOUR_PHONE 4242
_________________________>_______________

where IP_ADDRESS_OF_YOUR_PHONE is the IP displayed in Quickoffice (192.168.2.1, for instance).

Please send me a screenshot of the telnet procedure.

what happens when you try to mount your iphone as a network place or drive? Could you describe how you do this? You can also transfer files via browser by navigation to Quickoffice URL that you see in the bottom of the screen on your iPhone.

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing form you."

Also, we've recently found a compatibility issue with our application:

Unfortunately file-transfer feature in Quickoffice for iPhone is wokring properly only with western date format(Month, Date, Year). We are working to fix this issue ASAP. As a workaround we can suggest to change Regional Format (Settings > International > Regional Format) to US or any other with western format of date.

Sorry for the inconvenience this issue may cause.

Thank you for the feed back.
We do appreciate your business with us.
Best regards,

Could you please double check your firewall settings?
Please do the following:
go to Control Panel -> Firewall -> Exceptions:
1) "Add Port" (name - Quickoffice, port number - 4242) -> OK
2) "Add Program" -> add your internet browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer, Opera, Firefox, etc)

Thank you for your message. What region format have you selected in your iPhone international settings? Are you able to access the Quickoffice memory using the browser interface?

At this time, the “mounting your iPhone as a drive” transfer feature in Quickoffice for iPhone will only work properly if you have the date set to a western date format (Month, Day, Year). Our developers are currently working to fix this issue.

As a workaround, we can suggest changing the Region Format on your device. To do this, open your device’s Settings and choose General > International > Region Format. Please select United States or another country with the same type of date format.

Another workaround is to use the Wi-Fi transfer via web browser option. To transfer a file to your iPhone/iPod from your computer, please do these steps:

We apologize for the inconvenience this issue may cause, and we thank you for your patience while our developers work to correct the issue.

Apparently, your iPhone/iPod is running a 3.0 system software version. We are currently working to implement the ability to turn off the wireless file transfer function.

At this time, Quickoffice does not support ad-hoc Wi-Fi connections - as a workaround, we suggest entering your host computer IP address into the "router" field of your iPhone/iPod network configuration page.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

It appears you have connected your iPhone to your computer via an ad-hoc Wi-Fi connection, without the help of a wireless router or an access point - the "router" field on the screenshot is blank. Unfortunately, at this time, Quickoffice does not fully support ad-hoc networks, but we can offer you a workaround which would allow you to use an ad-hoc network with Quickoffice.

Please assign a static IP address for the wireless adapter on your computer (e.g., 192.168.0.1) and a static subnet mask (e.g. 255.255.255.0).

Next, you will have to assign a static IP address for your iPhone (Settings -> WiFi -> tap on the blue arrow to view your current network settings, select Static, and put in an IP address belonging to the same subnet mask as your computer (e.g., 192.168.0.2 for the 255.255.255.0 subnet mask). Then, put in the same subnet mask as you have selected for your computer (255.255.255.0), and enter your computer IP address into the "Router" field (192.168.0.1).

Return to your iPhone/iPod main screen, run Quickoffice, and try to use the Wi-Fi Desktop connection to upload files onto your device.

If the IP addresses that you have entered do not work, try to use the IP addresses suggested below:

Computer IP: 192.168.0.1
Computer Mask: 255.255.255.0
iPhone IP: 192.168.0.2
iPhone Mask: 255.255.255.0
iPhone Router: 192.168.0.1

Best regards,

Let's try to check whether you have any network-related issues. Let's try to ping your iPhone from your desktop computer. Please do the following:

1a. For Windows: Click Start > Run. Enter "cmd".
1b. For Mac: launch terminal utility.
2. In the opened command prompt window enter the following:
"ping [http://vkontakte.ru/away.>php?to
=http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX|X>XX.XXX.XXX.XXX]"
where [http://vkontakte.ru/away.>php?to
=http://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX|X>XX.XXX.XXX.XXX] is an IP address of your iPhone (192.168.0.2 for example)

Please send us a screenshot of a ping procedure.

Unfortunately for now, iDisk and WiFi are the only ways of uploading files from your PC. But you should be able to upload files to your iDisk account without installing any MobileMe apps.

Check [http://vkontakte.ru/away.>php?to

Do not hesitate to contact us in case you still have any issues.

irst you need to transfer the files from your Palm to the PC or Mac. Then you can transfer the files to your iPhone using Wi-Fi connect.

4. Your PC/Mac is now connected to your iPhone. Now using the browser, you can upload files to your iPhone or download files from your iPhone.

Note: iWork files cannot be transferred using Wi-Fi Connect.

Be notified, that Quickoffice supports the files originally created with MS Office only. If you created the files on your Palm, they may not work properly with Quickoffice.

Thank you for contacting us. You can remove the password prompt by running Quickoffice Options (the gear icon at the bottom), tap on "File Transfer" and turn off Authentication.

Before you attempt to open Quickoffice in your web browser, make sure there is a valid web address shown at the bottom of the Quickoffice main menu, e.g. http://192.168.1.2:4242.

There is an simple way to check whether your computer "sees" your iPhone in the network: open Terminal on your Mac and enter

ping 192.168.1.2

replacing 192.168.1.2 with the current iPhone IP address. LEt us know any results.

There is a confirmed issue with Quickoffice and the iPhone OS 3.0 that does not allow turning off the wireless transfer mode or using authentication. We are currently working an improved version with a fix to this problem. You can watch for Quickoffice updates on our website, [http://vkontakte.ru/away.>php?to
=http://www.quickoffice.co>m|http://www.quickoffice.com/] and in the App Store.

Unfortunately at the moment there is no way to disable the file transfer on iPhones with OS 3.0.

This is probably because of a well known issue with OS 3.0. Sometimes, when you specify a password before in the Quickoffice and then you upgrade to OS 3.0, the password (which is being stored as a standard http password in unix-like systems) is being messed up. If this is your case - try to remove Quickoffice from your phone completely and then reinstall it.

Have you managed to open the iPhone user guide? You may also find useful tips for Quickoffice at [http://vkontakte.ru/away.>php?to
=http://www.quickoffice.co>mquickoffice_iphone/faqs/|http://www.quickoffice.co>mquickoffice_iphone/faqs>] and in the Quickoffice help section on the device - simply tap the question mark icon on the toolbar at the main Quickoffice screen.

Try to set the desired cell format by tapping the leftmost icon on the toolbar and selecting "Number Format" from the list. Let us know if it works.

Unfortunately you cannot paste contents in several sells simultaneously.

Thank you very much for the thorough feedback. I'll try to answer your questions in order:

1. Quickoffice for iPhone does not currently support editing MS Office 2007 documents. The feature is expected in the next release of the program.
2. Could you send us an example of a file that is icorrectly processed by Quickoffice?
3. Quickoffice does not provide any synchronization features. Once you have modified a document on the iPhone, you need to transfer it manually to the computer to see the alterations, and vice versa. I have added your request to our list of customer-requested features for possible implementation in future versions of Quickoffice. You can watch for information on future releases on our website, [http://vkontakte.ru/away.>php?to
=http://www.quickoffice.co>m|www.quickoffice.com], and in the App Store.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Yes, the network drive connection to Quickoffice is only possible when Quickoffice is running on your iPhone.

Quickoffice was primarily designed to support Microsoft Notepad, I assume that by default to file is saved in a different code-page that is not supported by NoteTab (I may be wrong, though).

Please also note that depending on your wireless router setup, the IP address of your iPhone may change upon reconnection, which may result in Quickoffice being inaccessible from the computer via the mapped network drive. If at some point the network drive has become unresponsive (inaccessible), it is most likely caused by an IP address change (the URL at the bottom of the Quickoffice main screen will also change), so you will have to re-map the network drive using the new URL.

To prevent the IP address change, you may have to set up your wireless router in such a way, that it would always assign your iPhone the same (static) IP address.

There is free synching program, SyncToy, offered by Microsoft. You can learn more about it at:
